Hey, and welcome to my page.
My name is Sam Mortimer (or via here). I'm a 19 year old living in England, writing about anything and everything that comes to mind. This has taken me through very love-related, quite typical teen poetry, to angry, angsty, looking-at-the-world poetry, and finally, poetry I feel is quite abstract.
This latest style is a large part of my new collection of poems I'm calling "Lost in Thought Showers". It's a more coherent, focused work than before - clear from the off by the fact there are only 2 chapters. Yet I still hope I've managed to cover a range of ideas and emotions.
Then there's my first "book", My Empire, Your Works, and it's sequel, aptly titled, A Sequel.?. Both of those are still on here, for what I hope is your viewing/reading pleasure.
And maybe I'll write more here soon, but for now, that's me.
All the best, Sam

I'm back.
It's been a long time since I was here properly, and I can't say how much I'm going to be around now, but I'm back for a bit. At least until I turn 20 and they kick me off or something. Not that there appears to be any "they" anymore.... Hello Admins!
And hello to the rest of you. There seems to be lots of young blood on this site now, which is absolutely great, and I'm enjoying catching up on your poetry. Anyway, this is just a shout out to y'all to get in touch, and start talking about anything and everything. Hit my talk page if you like, and either "Chat" with me, or "Discuss" our poetry.

A Short Collection of Poems (Over a Long Period of Time) (2008)
A little stop-gap piece of work, of things that I'd done since I'd started writing but never fitted anywhere, and I felt wouldn't fit in the next actual 'book'.

My new third book, written over a couple of years, pulled together last week. 2nd chapter "Thought Showers" is a new style for me, and I'm really excited about it - let me know what you think.
