Mysterious Feeling

 What is this mysterious feeling?
 The one that I feel when I see you
 It is one of joy,like a child at Christmas
 But it is also a feeling of fear,like the dread of darkness
 I can see you clearly,but at the same time
 I am blinded by the light of your smile
 It is so overpowering,its as if I were a deer caught in a car's headlights
 And I am forced to look away 
 For fear of being run-over by your very presence

 When I am near you,I feel reduced to nothing,like an ant before a giant
 Your beauty is that of a thousand emeralds,a million roses
 Even beyond a billion sunsets
 When you look at me,your eyes penetrate my shield of neutral emotion
 It feels as though you can see my thoughts,feel my emotions
 And even touch my very soul

 Do you have this same feeling over me?
 This mysterious feeling that I have about you,is it love or something else?
 Who am I to say,for I have never experienced this feeling before
 All I know is that I have a mysterious feeling for you
