It was formed in 1975 in response to the growing number of archivists in Australia and to the increasing demand for archival skills. The Society is administered on a national basis by an elected Council. Branches and Special Interest Groups are active in the States and Territories." Includes information about the structure of the organization, its objectives, membership, events, publications, links, listserv information, and a directory of archives in Australia.
